365 Day Project – Creating Fused Glass and Mosaic Art Work
While on vacation in Door County WI, I came across this book by Noah
Scalin. At first glance I thought this was a book of daily creative prompts in a calendar format. I bought the book thinking I’d pick up some interesting ideas to spark my creativity. What I found fascinating about this book is the number of people that dedicated a year to making something every day. People have made skulls, birds, blooms, mini robots and other cool stuff every day for an entire year.
Please check Noah’s blog at http://makesomething365.blogspot.com/ to learn more about how he got started, where this project has taken him and what people are up to.
This got me thinking. How can I apply this concept to fused glass and mosaics? The pieces I create require multiple days to complete any given project. So where can I go with this concept. What struck me is that is important for me to stay in the creative process and make progress each day. My goal is to keep creating regardless of what presents itself on any given day for 365 days. Since one of my beliefs is that creativity underlies everything we do it will be interesting to see what comes up!

Please note that while the official start date is August 14th, the first blog post on Fusing A Fuller Life will be on August 21st.
